Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, Uma Bharti said the condition of BJP workers was like “widows of West Bengal”. She said the BJP had been fishing in troubled waters to find issues. Pointing out contradictions in the saffron brigade Bharti said while Rajnath Singh had been committing himself to the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, LK Advani expressed regret over the demolition of Babri mosque during the visit to Pakistan.

Expressing concern over the plight of Dr Joshi and Kalyan Singh, Bharti said the two senior saffron ideologues should lead Jana Shakti. She said the UP BJP should not make tall claims about the victory in the civic polls as in assembly election it would be nowhere. She said the BJP had now been surviving on “dalals”. She said the BJP’s long nourished ideology had vanished into thin air after the formation of 13-day government in 1993.
