Bhartiya Janshakti Party on Friday asked Madhya Pradesh Governor Dr Balram Jakhar to direct the state government to order a CBI probe into the alleged rigging of assembly polls in the state. "The concerned officials who were on poll duty and were witness to the incidents of changing of EVMs at Tikamgarh and Prithvipur assembly seats met the governnor three days back and apprised him about how the polls were rigged," BJS President Uma Bharti told reporters here. "We are going to meet the governor on Friday on the issue and urge him to direct the state government to order a CBI probe into the poll rigging incidents," Bharti said. If nothing happens in the next 15 days on the issue then the BJS will launch an agitation and approach the courts on the matter, Bharti said.

The leaders also demanded that EVMs must not be used in the future as their software could be easily tampered with.
