The incident happened soon after the girl’s parents dropped her at school around 6:30 am. Though the school has registered a complaint with the police, the girl’s parents are yet to approach the police or register their complaint.

The chairman of the MCD Education Committee, Prithvi Raj Sawhney, said school Principal Bimal Chakravarty and guard Dheer Singh have been suspended for dereliction of duty.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Northern Range) Karnal Singh said, “There was a PCR call but the girl’s parents have still not approached us and have refused to file any complaint.”

Police said the incident happened around 6:30 am, after the girl’s parents dropped her outside the school in Avantika, Sector-II, Rohini.

Sawhney said, “There was another girl with the victim at the time. The school guard was present but he didn’t see anyone. The victim’s friend later told their teacher that a man in a yellow shirt had taken away the victim. The teacher then informed the principal.”

The principal informed the police after she confirmed from the victim that she was molested by a man. The student was taken to Dr Amdebkar Hospital for medical check-up. The MCD Commissioner has asked the Rohini Zone Deputy Commissioner to submit an action taken report by Tuesday.
