Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, LK Advani, said it has become "certain" that the Congress-led government will not last its entire term and elections may be held in 2007 or 2008.

"Though it was not clear exactly when the Manmohan Singh government will collapse, it was sure that it will not survive beyond 2008," the former Deputy Prime Minister predicted.

Attacking the government on the Indo-US civil nuclear deal, senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh said it has exhibited "total incapacity".

"The incompetence was proven earlier. Now it has demonstrated incapacity as well," he said outside the Parliament.
