Talking to reporters soon after the UPA won the trust vote in the Lok Sabha, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said, "UPA's victory is not due to their policies but a well thought-out political conspiracy by both the NDA and the UPA to check the BSP and prevent the daughter of a Dalit from becoming the prime minister of the country."

Alleging both the NDA and the UPA of entering into a conspiracy, she said NDA was responsible for the victory.

"Both feared BSP and prevented me from becoming the prime minister," the BSP chief said. Though both the formations are seemingly different, they are united on this issue, she claimed. "Had the NDA not helped the ruling coalition, it would not have been saved on the floor of the House," said Mayawati.

"Both are united and can go to any extent to prevent the march of BSP," she said.

Referring to the cash being shown in the Lok Sabha, she alleged the UPA of horse trading and said: "This will go as a black day for Indian democracy."
