Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said that Urdu would be soon taught in all state government schools.

"We will be appointing Urdu teachers in every state-run school to enable the students learn the language," Kumar said at a seminar organised by the Cabinet Secretariat (Raj Bhasa) department in Patna.

Special preference would be given to those Urdu teachers who are well-versed in other subjects as well, he said.
The chief minister has asked the cabinet secretariat department to send a proposal to him in this regard.
