Manohar Lal had filed a missing complaint about his father with the district authorities, which have opened a help centre for providing information for missing pilgrims, officials said.

He said that his father Rehtulal had gone to Kedarnath and he had last spoken to him on June 10.

However, during investigation it was found that Manohar's father was missing for the last seven years and he had filed the fake complaint to get compensation, the district officials said.
