VICE-CHANCELLOR OF Deen Dayal Upadhyay University (DDU) PROF Arun Kumar expressed displeasure at the slow pace of literacy campaign in the district.

Delivering his views as a chief guest at a seminar at the Adult Education Department of the university, Prof Kumar said a meeting of the college representatives and university authorities would be held to chart out a plan to carry out the programme.
Kumar said that he was optimistic and the university would play an important role in making the campaign successful.Chief guest Prof Prabhashanker Pandey, spoke about the social and educational aspect of the campaign.
He also discussed the economic progress of the country after 1990 and impact on the new economic policy on the literacy campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, coordinator of the Adult Education Department Dr Dharm Dutt Tiwari highlighted the progress of the campaign.
