Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, the CPI (M-L) leader said that the Congress and BJP were trying to divert people’s attention from the burning issues such as right to live, right to education, right to food etc.

He alleged that the Union and State governments were formulating the economic policies on the diktat of international agencies such as International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, catering to the need of corporate houses and multi-national companies.

He further alleged that it was due to the wrong policies of the Union and State governments that a large number of farmers and weavers were committing suicides in several parts of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He demanded that the loans of farmers and weavers should be waved off.
