Investigations in the sensational murder of CNG Tempo Association president, Akash Veer Singh indicate that the money collected daily by the association from the tempos in the city was a sizeable amount and Singh had a strong hold on the association.
The police are also probing the role of a dismissed constable-turned property dealer in the case.

Talking to HT, CO Gomti Nagar, Vinay Chandra said that they were scrutinising information before reaching any conclusion about the murder motive.
He said that the post-mortem examination report stated that Singh had suffered four bullet injuries, suggesting that contract killers were used.
