The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) once again raked up the Ram temple construction issue and voiced its stance against ‘love jihad’, besides coming down heavily on those criticising their ‘ghar wapsi’ programmes.

The saffron outfit also demanded a strict law to prohibit religious conversion.

VHP international working president Pravin Togadia, who attended the outfit’s one-day ‘Mahayagya and Hindu sammelan’ on Tuesday said, “The VHP would get into celebration mode only after the Ram temple is constructed in Ayodhya and four lakh Kashmiris, who left their homes, resettle there.”

“Some people are criticising the Agra ‘ghar wapsi’ event ever since it took place. I want to apprise them of the fact that conversion has badly affected Hindus,” Togadia added. He reaffirmed that the ‘ghar wapsi’ programme would continue.

Without mentioning the full names of Owaisi and Abdullah, Togadia targeted the duo, saying that no Owaisi and Abdullah was in India 1,400 years ago.

He also blamed the Uttar Pradesh government for being biased against Hindus in welfare schemes.
