“We strongly demand the withdrawal of NSA against Varun Gandhi or we will launch a big movement across the country,” VHP President Ashok Singhal told reporters in Dehradun.

He alleged that Varun Gandhi and other people, who are raising the pitch of Hindutva are being arrested and their voice is being suppressed.

“In a democratic system, everybody is free to express opinion. Let the society make a judgement and not the state,” he said.

In this regard, he alleged that several Hindu leaders and saints have been put behind bars when they tried to raise Hindutva concerns.

“Cases have been filed against Sadhvi Pragya, Sadhvi Prachya, Swami Hansdas and others and they are subjected to narco tests in order to humiliate Hinduism,” he said.
