A few such enthusiasts, who attended the recent vintage car rally in the city, include the names of Maharajkumar Ajatshatru Singh of Jammu and Kashmir, Diljeet Titus and Madan Mohan. Ajatshatru Singh, who owns a dozen such cars, refers to them as ‘classic beauties’.

It’s the sheer passion that drives men like Titus, Mohan and Ajatshatru Singh to spend crores of rupees on collecting and restoring these antique cars. Ajatshatru Singh says, “A vintage car is like a lovely lady. It needs care, love and respect, only then it will perform well.”

Madan Mohan, who has been collecting these cars for the past ten years, has a collection of 200 vintage cars. Maheshwar Dayal, DCP, Gurgaon, is also a great lover of these cars.
