Commuters will now have direct connectivity from Gurgaon to Haridwar, Dehradun, Agra and other destinations. The tickets for the buses can be booked online.

“We started the service after the trial run proved successful. While only one bus will ply on these routes for the time being, more Volvos will be added in due course of time,” a senior transport official told Hindustan Times.

“At present, only buses of Haryana Roadways ply on these destinations. But the transport department will start the service for other destinations too,” he added.

Haryana Roadways will soon expand its existing fleet.

These luxury buses are equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and heating systems, LED-based destination boards, mobile and laptop chargers, 49 comfortable semi-sleeper seats and LCD TV.

At present, the city has 11 Volvo buses running on Gurgaon-Chandigarh route.
