Accusing both the Congress and the BJP of doing nothing for social and economic betterment, BSP chief Mayawati said on Thursday that people should vote out the "Manuwadi system" to enable reforms in various fields.

"Neither the Congress nor the BJP have done anything for social and economic reforms. Congress did nothing except assurances during its long innings and BJP is doing the same," she told an election rally in Ajmer.
Mayawati promised that if voted to power, her party would fill all the reserved seats in government jobs.
She said that along with the Dalits, if OBCs and minorities (including Sikhs and Muslims), who comprise 85 per cent of the electorate, also support the BSP, it would form a "significant natural alliance".
The BSP chief said her party was going it alone in the Lok Sabha polls and would contest about 325 seats.
Mayawati announced Paras Mal Chatar, a non-Dalit belonging to Bhinai village of Ajmer district and a new entrant into politics, as the BSP from Ajmer.
