Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, AICC General Secretary Prithvi Raj Chauhan and Haryana Congress Chief Phool Chand Maulana addressed the rally.
All the leaders were unanimous in their assertion that Faridabad, which once used to be counted among one of the top industrial hubs in the country has been plunged into backwardness due to anti-Faridabad policies of non-Congress governments in Haryana in the past. “ During my four years of tenure as Chief Minister of Haryana, every effort has been made to get Faridabad back on the track of development”, Hooda said, elaborating on some developmental projects like Badarpur flyover, inclusion of Faridabad into JNNURM scheme etc.
He appealed the voters to strengthen the hands of Sonia Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh so that the developmental initiatives undertaken by UPA Government continue uninterrupted.
