Will Sachin Tendulkar, who score a world record-equalling 34th century in the first Test against Bangladesh at Dhaka, be rested for the second and last Test beginning in Chittagong Friday?

According to The Daily Star, he could be, especially in the light of what India captain Sourav Ganguly has said.

"We have a thought in our mind about giving some of the young guys in the squad a chance to play in the next Test and also in the one-day series to come," the newspaper quoted Ganguly as saying.

"You need to give everybody a go to find out how good they are," said Ganguly.

If Tendulkar, who made a career best 248 not out in Dhaka, is actually rested for the Test, it would deprive his fans in the port city of watching him in action at the MA Aziz Stadium.

India are playing a Test in Chittagong for the first time.

If the 31-year-old Tendulkar, still batting with some pain in his elbow, is rested for Chittagong, his place could go to Mohammad Kaif.
