Woman dies while delivering, doctor shot at by husband

Alleging that his wife died due to medical negligence while delivering their child, a man shot at a woman doctor in the nursing home, police said on Sunday.

The police said that after performing the last rites of his deceased wife, Babuddin (32) returned to the hospital and shot at Munesh Tomar, a doctor, with a country-made pistol.

The shot hit the doctor in the hand, following which the nursing home staff gathered at the spot and attacked Babuddin.

The injured doctor was admitted in the same nursing home, while Babuddin in a different one. The police added that FIRs have been lodged from both parties sides and investigation is on.
