The family members of a call centre employee, who has been missing since March 1, has alleged that the police are harassing them and have refused to lodge a kidnapping case.
According to the family, the 20-year-old victim was abducted on March 1. The girl, who had joined the call centre at Sector 59 in February, was offered an attractive job by a colleague.
"My sister left home at 6.30 am on March 1. She is untraceable since then. She had told us that one of her colleagues gave her an offer of attractive job and he had asked for documents. When we approached her office, we came to know that her colleague is also not coming to the office since then. Mobile phones of both of them are switched off," said the victim's brother, a resident of Sector 17.
"Then we went to the Sector 20 police station where we were asked to go to the Sector 58 police station. After our repeated requests, the Sector 58 police lodged our complaint on Friday. But they did not register a kidnapping case," alleged the brother.
"Now, they are asking us to get mobile phone and other details of those suspected in the case. We have found that the person, who gave an attractive offer to my sister, is a resident of Ghaziabad. The location of his mobile phone, before being switched off, was found to be in GB Road area of Delhi. We suspect some foul play but the police are not helping us," he said.
