Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said the state executive of the party has decided that the BJP would target villages, slums and raise electricity crisis, women safety, youth problems and water management for the 2013 Assembly polls.

"The Sheila government has miserably failed on all these fronts," Goel said. "We will organise a giant rally in Ramlila Maidan in August over the power crisis in the city. A minority conclave will be held on June 23," he added.

The BJP passed a political resolution at the meeting, pitching for 'full statehood' for Delhi. "We will open 15 new colleges in the city. The BJP will provide books and laptops to all students at concessional rates," Goel said.

Traces of rift could be seen clearly in the state executive meeting as several leaders left the meeting midway. Goel snubbed former Delhi president Vijender Gupta when he tried to bring a resolution to congratulate Narendra Modi on his appointment as campaign head for the Parliament elections next year
