Workshop on fine arts ends

A 10-day workshop on fine arts concluded in Bharat Bhawan. Organised as part of the Bharat Bhawan silver jubilee celebration, the workshop was attended by over a 100 fine art students from across the State.

In charge of the workshop and noted painter Yusuf said the workshop was a reflection of the inclination towards fine art in the young generation. Many students took part on their own expense because they were keen to learn various forms of fine arts, which encompassed graphics, ceramics and stone carving.

Senior artist, Amit Soni said the workshop provided participants a golden opportunity to hone their skills in various forms.

Nivedita, a painting student from Khairagarh University, was of the view that the workshop gave students an understanding for all round development in graphics such as lithography, serigraphy, chorography, computer graphics, and woodcut.
Reshma, a student from Orissa, working on terracotta, said the participants worked on mix mediums, i.e. ceramic clay and terracotta clay.

In the stone carving section, students worked on sand stone and marble stone.
