Cornelia Zicu, chief creative officer, says, “India is evolving as a sophisticated market, so we though it was the best time and place to set up our spa service. We are looking at opening our doors by early 2011.”

This is the first time the brand is entering Asia, though it has not been confirmed which company it will be tying up with yet. “We are looking to have a presence in all the major metros in India,” Zicu explains.

With a Hollywood celebrity clientele that they keep strictly mum about, will their Indian venture blast a crater-sized hole in our pockets? “Although it’s early to comment on our pricing in India, we are confident that it will be consistent with the value we offer. Our most expensive service will reflect the use of technology, unique technique and advanced duration,” assures Zicu. As the key designer of all their packages, she plans to travel around India to learn more about traditional aromatherapy methods and techniques, which may then be incorporated in the spa’s offerings. “We use aromatherapy extensively in our spa services,” mentions Zicu. “We will also be fine-tuning our packages to suit the Indian climate.”
