WR had to cancel 19 trains towards Gujarat including eight passenger trains and nine other trains towards Mumbai were terminated from Vapi, Valsad and Dahanu.
The Vaitarna-Saphale belt in the Mumbai-Valsad section was hit badly on Tuesday following soil erosion near the tracks.
The cancelled trains include both mail and shuttle trains used by commuters who travel between the cities for work. The routes of some trains were also diverted to carry out repair work.
