Coach Greg Chappell indicated on Friday that he wanted to give all members of the squad a chance to show their mettle.

He also hinted that Kumble, so far untried in the competition, could find a place in the final eleven.

"I want to give everyone who is here a chance to play, so hopefully J P (Yadav) will be seen against the West Indies," Chappell said after a gruelling practice session here.

India has lost twice to Sri Lanka and are still not sure of their place in the final but Chappell is sticking to his policy of experimenting to find the right combination for the side which is still struggling to find its form.

"I want to have a bigger pool of players. You never know when illness can play a part or somebody is injured."
