In a defamation notice served through his lawyer Rajendra Babbar, Yadav referred to Advani’s statement at the conclave as shown on TV channels and reproduced in newspapers and said charges against the Congress and its president Sonia Gandhi were false and unfounded.

Yadav said the Bharatiya Janata Party’s phony morality had been exposed as several Bharatiya Janata Party leaders had been caught on camera accepting bribes and the involvement of disgraced Bharatiya Janata Party organisation general secretary Sanjay Joshi in a sex scandal.
