Yanam to get drinking water from Dowleswaram in AP

Puducherrry Lt Governor Iqbal Singh has laid the foundation for a Rs 48 crore drinking water project at Yanam, an enclave of the union territory in Andhra Pradesh.

When the project is completed, Yanam would get drinking water from Dowleswaram dam in Andhra Pradesh.

The Centre had sanctioned Rs 32 crore for the project while the remaining would be met by Puducherry Administration.
