Rajesh Sharma of Paplah village of the district left his job to do farming at a time when everybody is running after government jobs to lead a secured life.
He not only has a dairy farm but also owns a vegetable farm. He carries vegetables, milk and milk products to Bhareri Kaswa to run other family affairs.
The young man earns around Rs 20,000 per month from the work which goes on at his fields. Before getting into self-employment, Rajesh was working as a physical education teacher at a government school.
With his inherent desire to work independently, he left the job and started vegetable production in a piece of 35 kanal land. He practiced diversification and today he successfully grows all types of vegetables including ginger, garlic, onion, turmeric etc. He has bored two wells in his land to irrigate the fields as well as to drink water from there.
His daily farm is doing a roaring business and now he owns 15 buffaloes and one cow.
His love for the education field led him to start a physical education college under the name Meharram Dutta College of Physical Education at Bhareri.
Today more than 150 students across the state are studying in this institution. For his achievement in dairy farming, Rajesh Sharma has been honored by the state animal husbandry department with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 two years ago. He wants the educated youth to take up family jobs especially farming with modernised techniques and earn a good income for themselves and their families.
