Four persons, including two minor boys, sustained pellet injuries when the miscreants exploded bombs of low intensity in the area, and fled.

The injured youth, identified as Dilip Rajbhar, an activist of the Bajrang Dal, has been admitted to a private hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. The cause of the attack is said to be the fallout of an old enmity.

A named FIR against four persons has been lodged with the police. Raids are being conducted to nab the absconding criminals.

A police force has been deployed in the area to avoid any further untoward incident.

According to information, Dilip and his friends were standing at a tea stall at around 8 pm when a history sheeter of the area along with two accomplices came there.

One of them took Dilip aside, on the pretext of a confidential conversation, and later shot at his stomach. Dilip slumped to the floor bleeding profusely.

It may be noted that Dilip had taken part in the protest against the murder of one Kailash Jaiswal in Sarnath area recently. At that time, the history sheeter had threatened Dilip to withdraw from the movement.
