TWO BROTHERS fired at a youth after a dispute over filling water in Sneh Nagar last night. Both accused are absconding after the incident, but police have seized the revolver, which they had dropped after the incident.
Juni Indore police said the incident occurred at around 11.30 pm on Thursday. Mukesh son of Gulabsingh, resident of Sneh Nagar had a fight with Vinod son of Ramchandra resident of Shankarbagh at the community tap near Kantaphor temple. Later, both of them reached a compromise.
But, apparently, Vinod still wanted to settle the score. He went home, collected his country-made revolver, took his brother along with him and reached Mukesh’s house at Sneh Nagar. They called Mukesh out and as soon as he came out Vinod shot at him. But, when the bullet missed Mukesh, they beat him up with a belt.
However, neighbours who heard the gunshot and commotion afterwards came out and the two accused sped away on their scooter.
