Welsh beauty Catherine Zeta-Jones may be the epitome of femininity but producer Mark E Sennet seems to think that the America's Sweetheart star is the perfect choice for playing April Ashley, the famous transsexual who married into British aristocracy.

According to the film-maker he thinks Jones can do full justice to the screen version of Douglas Thompson's upcoming book, First Lady, which is based on Ashley, reports the New York Post.

However, according to reports there is no word yet on whether or not Jones has agreed to the role.
