With a view to checking use of unfair means during the board examinations, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is planning to install closed circuit televisions (CCTVs) at the examination centres.
The higher secondary and high school board examinations are scheduled to start in the state from March 2 and 3 respectively. Lakhs of students will appear in the examinations at thousands of centres across the state.
In Indore division, as many as 61,000 students will appear in the high school board examination, while around 55,000 students will appear in the higher secondary at 605 examination centres across the division.
Speaking to HT, Indore division joint director, school education, Kaushal Kishore Pandey said that checking the use of unfair means during examination is always a challeng for any board.
During the last few years, MPBSE has been taking several measures to check unlawful practices during the board examination.
This year the board has constituted five flying squads comprising four members each. These will be in addition to the two flying squads of the district administration and one of the board.
Pandey said the plan to install CCTVs is under consideration and it will be finalised only after the examination committee meeting at the MPBSE headquarters in Bhopal.
