Hospital sources said that when he was admitted, he was calm and sober and did not show any signs of aggression. It was only on Sunday morning when the on duty doctor came to monitor his health that Sikandar bit him on his hand. Later on, he started vandalising the property around him as he threatened to attack people with a razor.

Soon another doctor was called in to administer sedative to him but he retaliated again with a razor thereby injuring the other doctor as well. "The patient was suffering from some psychological problem. We tried to sedate him but he was showing an extremely aggressive behaviour. Finally the police had to be called,” said Dr AD Bhattnagar, superintendent, MY Hospital.
