The erstwhile queen of Jaipur's stepsons, Jai Singh and Prithviraj Singh, recently sent a notice to Devraj and Lalitya, children of Gayatri Devi's son Jagat Singh, to vacate her residence in Jaipur, Lilypool.

In her will, Gayatri Devi, who passed away in July last year, had named her grandchildren as the only inheritors of her properties worth about Rs 2,000 crore.

Lilypool, the French-style estate where the grandchildren live, is on the Rambagh Palace Hotel premises here.

Prithviraj and Jai are believed to have majority stakes in Rambagh.

Devraj refused to comment on the matter. But there are reports that he is plans to challenge the notice in court on the ground that he also had a stake in Rambagh, as Gayatri Devi had named him as one of her heirs and willed Lilypool to him and his sister.

Though her relations with the grandchildren were allegedly strained for some years, Gayatri Devi mended ties with them towards the end of her life. The two were at her side when she passed away.
