The police recovered the body on Friday evening when the employees of Krishna Transport Company (KTC) in Kishangarh smelled strong odour while unloading the parcel.

The Ajmer police on Saturday questioned the employees and the officials of the Milap Transport Roadlines Company (MTRC) of Pili Kothi in Old Delhi from where the parcel was dispatched. During the investigation, the police have nailed the Delhi-based company for negligence in not maintaining proper addresses of the dispatcher and the receiver.

"Parcel receipt mentions the name of sender as 'B' and the receiver as 'Self'. The date on the receipt is also tampered with. It mentions March 31 as dispatch date but it is overwritten as April 2. It is clear negligence on part of the MTRC," said Narendra Singh, SHO, Madanganj police station in Ajmer. A case of murder has been registered against unidentified persons.

Ajmer superintendent of police, Bipin Kumar Pandey said the case might be transferred to Delhi Police if it is proven that the murder took place there.

"We suspect the victim belongs to Delhi. We have contacted the Delhi Police in this regard," said Pandey.

The parcel came to an Ajmer transport company by a truck and remained there for two days. From Ajmer it was sent to Kishangarh for delivery on Friday morning.
