The Swine Flu virus is back to haunt Jodhpur after a gap of around two years. According to reports, three cases of swine flu have been reported in the city, bringing back memories of 2012 when H1NI (swine flu virus) had claimed around 45 lives.
According to reports, a 38-year-old man died after being detected with H1NI at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital here on Tuesday. Two more patients were found H1NI positive on Wednesday and are undergoing treatment. One patient has been admitted to a private hospital, while another is getting treatment at Mathura Das Mathur Hospital, Jodhpur.
These cases of Swine Flu took doctor by surprise because in earlier cases the disease haD RAISED its ugly head during winter seasons.
All the hospitals under Dr SN Medical College have been put on high alert and doctors have been advised to take extra precaution even in the cases where patients are suffering from fever, cold or flu to ensure that they have not been affected with Swine Flu virus .
"One Mahendra Soni, 38, resident of Sojat in Pali district was admitted in MDM Hospital with some respiratory problems on April 19. After the check up, the person was detected H1N1 positive. He died on Tuesday," a spokesman of Dr SN Medical College said.
"Another patient Chunni Lal, 45, resident of Pachpadra in Barmer district has also been detected H1N1 positive. He has been admitted to MDM Hospital, he said.
On Wednesday, another patient Vishnu Dev, 25, was detected with the same virus and is going under treatment in private Goyal Hospital.

The report of one patient admitted at MDM hospital was detected as negative on Wednesday.
"This virus mainly spreads in winters, but due to the climatic change in the region, which brought down the temperature and increased the humidity could be a reason for revival of swine flu," Dr Alok Gupta, a senior physician said and added, "People should not get panicked."
He advised people to immediately go to hospital if they are sick or have breathing problems.
In the year 2009 and 2012 around 90 and 45 people died respectively due to swine flu.
