Man strangles wife to death for beating up daughter

The police on Monday arrested a 28-year-old man for strangling his wife to death as she had beaten their daughter up. Muklawa station house officer Malkiat Singh said the accused, who was a resident of village 22 PTD, had approached the police and confessed that he had throttled his wife for beating their daughter up.

The police on Monday arrested a 28-year-old man for strangling his wife to death as she had beaten their daughter up.

Muklawa station house officer Malkiat Singh said the accused, who was a resident of village 22 PTD, had approached the police and confessed that he had throttled his wife for beating their daughter up.

The deceased was identified as Veena (25), who had two daughters and a son. Veena and the accused Arjunram Nayak had been married for eight years.

After the police verified Veena’s death, they lodged a case against Nayak and arrested him. Veena’s body was handed over to her relatives after autopsy.
