Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday said the state police force is now working in a “more humane and sensitive way” due to the increasing number of women police officers in the force.
Raje was addressing 188 women constables of the 66th batch during their passing out parade at the Rajasthan Police Academy on Tuesday.
Raje said that challenges for the internal security forces in the country are increasing everyday but the state police are well trained and adept at handling these challenges. She said the government is leaving no stone unturned to train the police in sync with the latest innovations besides making them available all the equipment needed for the purpose. Subjects such as cyber and economic offences, along with lessons to improve the behavior of the cops, are being included in the study courses, she added.
Complementing the women constables for the skills displayed by them during the passing out parade, Raje expressed hope that with their neutral and efficient approach towards work, they will carry forward the glorious legacy of the state police.
Home minister Gulab Chand Kataria said that due the various improvements in the syllabus and introduction of latest innovations, the Rajasthan Police Academy has become the best such institution to train the men-in-khaki in North India. In one year, around 50,000 police personnel have been trained in the academy in latest disciplines, he added.

{{/usCountry}}Director general of police Manoh Bhatt said that the newly-inducted constables have been given training in various disciplines of self defense and modern policing ways. “This has been done so that they are able to provide self defense training to girls studying in various schools and colleges in the state,” he added.
