‘Unbearable headache, hunger’ force woman to kill two daughters

Persistent hunger and unbearable headache led a mother to kill her daughters, aged 1 and 3 years, the accused’s statement to the police has revealed. According to the police, she killed her daughters after administering them milk with push pins in it.

Persistent hunger and unbearable headache led a mother to kill her daughters, aged 1 and 3 years, the accused’s statement to the police has revealed. According to the police, she killed her daughters after administering them milk with push pins in it.

The accused was produced before the additional district judge on Tuesday who sent her to judicial custody for 14 days. The bodies of the minors were recovered from a well in Nagra area on Monday.

The accused — Sunita alias Ratna Soni — in her statement, confessed that she killed her daughters because of dearth of money following of her husband’s addiction to alcohol. She couldn’t buy food to feed her hungry daughters, said Vikram Bhati SHO Alwar gate. Even the push pins, which she added to their milk, was borrowed from the neighbour, said Bhati.

The statement also revealed that an unbearable headache because of being hungry for two days irritated her and she decided to kill the girls, Bhati added.

The bodies of two infants was recovered from a well in Nagra area on Monday. The incident rocked the area with locals discussing the probably killer of the girls. On suspicions, the police then took the mother into custody.
