"Only one voice is there in the state at present and nobody else has courage to raise head. There prevails absolute anarchy on law and order situation in the state," Bhattacharjee said without naming the present chief minister.

"Instead of showing red eyes to the judiciary or judges, she should act against the criminals to restore law and order situation in the state and stop attack on the opposition," he said when speaking at the beginning of 50 years celebration by CPI(M)'s Bengali weekly organ 'Deshhitaishee'.

The Marxist leader said that both industry and agriculture in the state were suffering with no industry set up in last one year.

"We are still confident that socialism is the last word, and not capitalism", he said.
