"If they want to stay with CPI-M (communist Party of India-Marxist), they can go. We have already said the door is open for them to go out, but still they have not left. They are so shameless that even after being asked to leave, they are still in the ministry,” said Trinamool leader and rural and panchayat development minister Subrata Mukherjee.

Party leader and industries minister Partha Chatterjee said: "They have to clarify their stand properly whether they are with the Marxists or with us."

"What were they doing when for last few years we were fighting for the people on the issue of Nandigram, and Singur," he asked.

In an indication that all is not well within the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA), chief minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Banerjee on Saturday asked partner Congress to walk out of the combine.
