Airport authorities said the operations were closed from 4am and 8:30am because of “zero visibility” following heavy fog.

With an improvement in visibility, the flights resumed at 8.30am, the authorities said.

While one international flight and two domestic flights were cancelled, seven flights were diverted.

Aggrieved passengers wondered why no information was given to them about the cancellation and the delay of the flights.
