Maoist leader Kishenji managed to slip through the police net on Wednesday in West Midnapore. But the police arrested three Maoist guerrillas, including two women, in the Salboni area of the district.

Salboni is 150 km west of Kolkata.

“We expect to grill the three arrested soon,” said West Midnapore SP Manoj Verma.

Kishenji is a politburo member of the banned CPI (Maoist).

The police claimed to have got hold of Kishenji’s laptop, hearing aid, and a cache of arms, including single-barrel guns, cartridges and printed literature on making explosive devices.
