Left Front chairman Biman Bose, after discussing the issue at a meeting in Kolkata, told reporters that since the price increase was effected throughout the country, the Left parties were in talks with non-Congress and non-BJP parties to call a nationwide bandh.

"The four Left parties will meet in Delhi tomorrow to discuss the issue. Various dates are being discussed for the bandh," he said.

Protests against the Centre's decision to hike prices of petroleum products would begin from Tuesday in the districts, Bose added.
