Metro railway sources said 35-year-old Arnab Mukherjee jumped on the tracks just as a train entered the station at around 0958 hrs.
Services on the track remained disrupted for nearly half-an-hour till the body was removed, though trains continued to run on the other track.
The cause of the suicide remained unclear.
On November five, a 45-year-old man, an officer with the Andhra Bank in the city, had committed suicide by jumping under a train at Rabindra Sadan station.
