Two more persons in West Bengal have committed suicide either because of being complicit in or at the receiving end of irregularities committed by financial companies, according to police sources. HT reports.

Two more persons in West Bengal have committed suicide either because of being complicit in or at the receiving end of irregularities committed by financial companies, according to police sources.

And one person died of a heart attack, taking the number of deaths in such circumstances to 10.

Of the three most recent deaths, one each has been reported from North 24 Parganas, Nadia and Hooghly districts.

Jagdish Roy, 62, a former employee of Sodepur Cotton Mill, hanged himself from the ceiling at his residence in North 24 Parganas on Sunday night.

Father of Bidhan Roy (31), an agent of chit fund Annex Infrastructure, Jagadish was reportedly assaulted and humiliated by aggrieved depositors.

Jayanta Sarkar (32), managing director of financial firm Hello India Express, hanged himself at his residence in Chuchura, 40 km north of Kolkata.

Nadia-resident Chintabala Sadhukhan (65), who had deposited around Rs 2 lakh in her and her daughter's name, died of a heart attack.
