Kolkata police have arrested 14-year old Sunny Shukla, a resident of Pakur, a place near the Bengal-Jharkhand border, for sending prank mails to NIA and a TV channel claiming that Indian Mujahideen was behind the New Delhi high court blast, that claimed 11 lives.

Shukla, a computer savvy student of an English medium school, was reportedly looking for excitement and created a flutter with these two mails that he sent on September 8 and 9, claim Kolkata police sources.

Shukla was booked under section 66(A) of the IT Act that deals with prank calls/mails that create panic among the public.

The mails also threatened new explosions at public places within a few days.

Police sources claim Shukla was constantly looking for excitement that would create nationwide noise and a few days ago when the Indian cricket team was drubbed by the English side in the test series he sent a mail to BCCI demanding that MS Dhoni be replaced as a captain with Parthiv Patel.

Shukla would be produced in a juvenile court on Wednesday.
