Arushi murder: 'seems to be work of doc or butcher'

Uttar Pradesh's Additional Director General of Police Brijalal says "the way in which the throat of Arushi was cut points out that it is the work of some professional".

The murder of Noida teenaged school girl Arushi Talwar and her domestic help Hemraj appears to be the work of some professional who could be a doctor or a butcher, a senior Uttar Pradesh police official said in Lucknow on Wednesday.

"The way in which the throat of Arushi was cut points out that it is the work of some professional who could be a doctor or a butcher," Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Brijalal told reporters when asked about the case.

He said a 5cm deep wound on the Arushi's vocal cord was found and the way in which the throat was slit pointed to to a professional hand.

The investigation is going on in the case and it would be worked out soon, he said.
