Flaunting the ruling party’s symbol and flag on his motorcyle’s registration number plate proved costly for a sub inspector on Saturday when senior police officials took cognizance of a photograph which went viral on social media.

An FIR under IPC Section 188 for disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant had been registered against him and the motorcycle had been seized, he said.
