SP expels 11 members for anti-party activities

Acting tough against party members allegedly involved in indiscipline and anti-party activities, Samajwadi party on Wednesday expelled 11 workers including a former MLA from the party.

Acting tough against party members allegedly involved in indiscipline and anti-party activities, Samajwadi party on Wednesday expelled 11 workers including a former MLA from the party.

Former MLA from Firozabad, Hariom Yadav, eight district panchayat members and two others of the same district were expelled, party sources said here.

The party had earlier expelled a block head and three district panchayat members of Kannauj, a corporator and former district president and five district panchyat members of Lucknow, they said.

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had recently said that groupism and indiscipline would not be tolerated in the party and strict action would be taken against those involved in such acts.
