Tiwari, who received the Defence Technology Spin-off Award from the Prime Minister in 1999 for developing the Kalam-Raju coronary stent, felt that if tablet computers were provided at the primary health sector, they would help in early detection of diseases. He also remarked that tablet PCs could revolutionalise the healthcare system.

"After Uptron, nothing has come up in Uttar Pradesh in the area of technology. I wish tablets are produced in UP and distributed in the medical sector," he said.

When a healthcare personnel's tablet is connected with GSM technology and hooked to cloud connection, it would easily track whether the healthcare personnel has actually visited patients in their homes in villages.
